The Common Edge Profiles you see on this page are not the only options. If you have particular edge profile in mind, consult your fabricator. More often then not, Fabricators can design and fabricate a profile for your individual need.
Common Natural Stone Edge Profiles.
Standard Edge profiles for 3 cm (1 1/4") & 2 cm (3/4") single thickness, stones.
Before you choose your edge style and profile, choose the thickness of the Natural Stone first.
Stone thickness makes a difference, in which edge profiles are available, and which look best. The standard (common) single stone kitchen counter top is 1 1/4" (3 cm) thick. Some economy (common edge) counter tops are ¾” (2 cm) thick, and well supported underneath. Bathroom vanities are typically 3/4" thick.
The more complex edge profiles don't look good on 3/4" (2 cm) counter tops, and aren't as strong. For 3/4" bathroom vanities, it's best to choose a basic edge profile.
